I just recently picked up a 2018 Discover - SE with the "Enhanced 250w" system, this one has 10 speakers with NO subwoofer.

Given it's "optional" on the SE, my question is does anyone know if there is a speaker-wire in that sub compartment that I could tap into for ADDING a rear sub?

I'll reply since no one else has yet...I would find out from LR where they put it on the upgraded system. OR a local install shop my have done a similar install. There really isn't very much extra space in these, so if you want it to fit and work right I would call LR.

I know where the sub is in the new ones, i'm not worried about location or size, I was trying to assess is the a pre-wired speaker wire sitting there waiting to be used?

 

Where are the subwoofers located?

Ours have the 850W Meridian system and I have not noticed any subwoofers in the cargo area. I could have missed it, but with the battery, 4 zone air and 3rd row I don't see many good places for a big woofer setup in the cargo area.

 

It's in the secret compartment under the center of the flip out tailgate. Allegedly . . . again, we don't actually have ours yet!
