I see that 2022 is available to pick on the LR USA site for build your own on the Discovery. I also saw chatter on Defender forum that some existing orders have now been moved over to be 2022 and new orders are going in for 2022. So does that mean the production line will change over on Discovery too?

I have a 2022 D5 on order, mine was in really early (I was waiting to see if they would bring in the MHEV diesels. ha! fat chance ). they are essentially 2021's so no retooling that I've heard about.

last I heard, build date of 5/7 and a delivery date of 7/16.

I believe so. I just ordered my new Discovery R-Dynamic HSE as a 2021 last week. My salesman emailed me to look over the final order for final approval but he informed me that he hand changed it to the 2022 model. He said that the 2022 model is no different than the 2021 model. Can't wait to get mine sometime in August.

Update: build date is 06/26 and delivery date is 08/20. Hoping this won’t change.

 

Production issues over lack of chips (just like in US), pushing builds out, months. Defender demand is very high.

 

I am unsure if you'll get an accurate answer anywhere. What you should do is eyeball your specs / build sheet carefully to ensure that flex manufacturing doesn't come with surprises given that yield maximization game currently.

Stumbled upon this beauty the other day at my local dealer Jake Kaplin JLR in RI. It is almost my exact build and was told a month prior they do MSRP on defenders when discussing ordering a 110 with them. I was standing there thinking how lucky this seemed. skipping the 9 month+ wait I was told to expect and my almost exact built I would order anyway...... until I saw the 5k "market adjustment" addendum sticker on the window. Did not even bother going inside after seeing this.

Since I'm hearing that ordering what one wants now may be delayed until the 2024 year, anyone talked to their dealer on what that means as far option packs etc.?

Edit: I guess what I'm getting at is if there is a PHEV version next year, how does one get in line for one of those?
