Anyone got their 2021 or 22 Discovery order pushed back?

I live in the UK and ordered my Disco Urban in July 2021, with a mid Oct delivery at the time. At present its still in the LR holding pool with no updates on even a build date. On the website it now advises new order will be 12+ month lead tie.

Spoke with another dealer here in the USA said all orders on the 22' are unslotted due to an aluminum shortage. Not sure what exactly that means but doesn't sound good.

That's interesting. Well, I do know that my vehicle is already built and on some boat somewhere. I'm happy about that.

Update: 12/01/21
Well I finally got my new 2022 Discovery HSE R-Dynamic in carpathian gray. Its absolutely stunning and worth the wait. My salesman said that back in June I was lucky enough to get my order in on time before the supply chain started to go sour. The production schedule was the part that kept it from getting here on schedule. Everything is working great though and they even updated the PiviPro software to the latest version so I was able to connect to my Apple CarPlay very easily. Coming from my old 2017 Discovery, this new one drives really smooth. The materials feel so much more premium in quality. The back seat makes you feel like you're sitting on a plush, soft leather sofa. Its that comfortable. Feeling very blessed.

Had one delay they'd pushed out on the build date earlier from Oct to Nov. Just got an update from my dealer and mine was built 'on time' in late Nov and will arrive in the US, early-Feb.

So interesting tid bit after speaking with a new dealership today.

23' builds are still expected in March, said he would find it hard to believe it arrives without interactive display if it was selected. Said if it did, we could simply reject the build and have our $ back. Quite frankly I don't think any dealer cares if this is the case, car will sell one way or the other.

After he gave the March timeline, I mentioned we already have an order in at another dealer. He said we are welcome to put in an order with him for $1000 deposit, and cancel if our original order comes first. Did say, allocations for dealers are based on their sales volume, their dealer is high volume. Which I believe, just based on how many cars I see they have had for sale on Autotrader in the past months versus the other dealer.

I spoke with mine last week (in Belfast) and still no dates on anything. It’s been in the holding pool since July 10th. I did also originally spec the full digital driver display which JLR cancelled a week later..

At present I don’t expect nothing before March. Dealer did advise all new orders for a Disco are on at least a 12 month lead at present

Spoke to ours today... Slotted for a build, last possible spec change 1/26, delivery mid-late April to New Jersey.

Doesn't look good for interactive display, he is asking corporate for definitive confirmation if all Metropolitan editions will have it. Personally sounds like a sales gimmick to spend 2k more for the Metro. Also hoping r-dynamic black styling will be honored for the Metro.
