So I guess my salesman was accurate. I personally didn't think he was until someone else confirmed.

 

For what it's worth, my salesman tells me that my Metropolitan Edition was just built and had the full kit, i.e., TFT Display, Head Up, etc.. I take delivery in late March. I ordered in late October.

 

See where money gets you? Front of the line lol. Good for you though, that is the best delivery date I've heard so far.

 

Hopefully that's the case. My salesman told me they wouldn't fit HUD as they focus everything on RR right now. Honestly, I couldn't care less at the moment as it's not something I really wanted.

My initial order was in early August, but they cancelled it during September or early October (had really niche maxed out config made from base model) and got it reordered just recently (+8k euros more though), but they told me the car would be built in May anyway as it was put in queue already, even though it was cancelled by factory. Not sure what's the truth here, but it was supposed to be delivered in January at first

 

Spoke to a new dealership yesterday, said they usually aim to have around 6000 Disco's built and sent to the US, they are hoping for 1500 this year. Talk about rare car.

 

My dealer contacted us today to tell us that LR have removed Digital Dash from all Metropolitan orders that are unslotted. We ordered Dec21 and only told today we will not get the digital dash. We are furious. JLR what a bloody disaster a premium brand but reverting back to the 80s dashboard !! My order is £85k with added extras. Total joke !

 

To be honest, it's not that bad, but I'd like to have the digital cluster as well. The map view on the semi analogue cluster seems useless when you turn on navigation. However, I use waze anyway, so I don't care that much. I'd like to have more info in front of me though.

 

My discovery finally moved into production slot with estimated delivery of Sept. However it will come with analog gauge and also price has been auto adjusted to $3000 higher by manufacturer as their 2023 model pricing adjustment. I just told my sales that we like to get a refund on the deposit.
