Discovery Engine Seized
Should probably post on the Discovery 5 forum here (more traffic - new Discovery V is what it's technically called).
With that many miles... and so close to warranty expiration, you should be talking to JLR directly ... that's ridiculous. If I were you, I'd figure out why there was a low oil indication... as a first step.
Also, what country are you in?

It's 4 years or 50k miles in the USA
But sounds like OP is in the UK where it's a 3 year warranty.
So it's a long way out of warranty (2018 model likely on the road sometime in 2017)
If it lost all its oil and seized up you're not going to diagnose that online. It's probably wrecked the engine - or done more damage than worth rebuilding. But you would need a specialist to look
New replacement engines are crazy expensive. You could prob find a donor from a wrecked car
Which engine do you have - petrol or diesel and which one?
