Default DPF Regen Lights

Im dealing with an engine issue on my 2018 Land Rover discovery TDV6 and without going into all the details on this thread, I'm curious what lights come on the dash related to the DPF regen. From the manual, a green icon would say a cycle was completed and red would say it didn't complete or there is an issue with the system.

I have never once seeing any lights related to the DPF illuminate and not sure if this is normal behavior or not.

I have a 2017 TD6 HSE and have never seen any lights on my dash related to the regen cycle and have had no issues with my system - 125,500 miles.

Thanks. I’m curious when the stated lights actually would come on then.

My experience is the regen lights will *never* come on. The only light that will come on is the check engine light when some component fails outside of the acceptable parameters.

Pretty sure they don't come on until there's an issue.

Thanks for all the replies. Here is what the manual shows so I think that is why I'm confused. It essentially has a light for any possible state yet I've never seen one.

The "green briefly light" must be new to 2018 model. my 2017 have never shown the green light.

I will run the free App "Fdpf", its for for Ford diesels. Its cheesy, normal running shows DPF SOOT load @ 256%. during regen it show @1024%

Also run the "Torque" app, during regen the EGTB1S1 and EGTB1S3 monitors temperature will be 10-11K degrees .

( you do need a ODBII reader, I us the Carista one.

One side note on the Fdpf app, it will read all JLR DTC codes, and clear them.
