Default Navigation Update

Anybody know how to update the navigation map?
In the vehicle ti directs me to go to the website.
On my computer I think I'm in the wrong place.
Is the update free while under warranty?
I figure I should update before my SIM card expires.
Thanks for your help.

Go here: https://www.landrover.here.com/index.php#home/0

1. It takes a while to download.
2. You will have to install there downloader only once, if its first time.
3. Updates once a month so far with mine.

Hope this helps

I found this link to more direct. That one allows you to download routes and can get you to the maps. This one is directly to the maps. https://www.landroverusa.com/ownersh...s-updates.html

Thanks to both of you. I was unsuccessful on the landrover.here website because it said I have no connected vehicles, then I enter my VIN, it says I have a connected vehicle, but won't download any maps anywhere, then it says I have no connected vehicles. I sent LR an email a while ago and they gave me a phone number to call but I never did.

Then, I tried that second link from FormerTouregFan. It looked promising. I downloaded and installed the app on my mac. Then I entered my VIN and it said it was invalid. I guess I have a $60+ thousand dollar counterfeit Discovery. I'll give them a call one day soon when I need extra frustration in my life.

I did check my In Touch on the dash today: It said A new, updated map is ready to download. Please go to Maps and Services on www.landrover.here.com to get it.
Then it said: Installed maps- Map version: 8.30.67.153 Last map update: 01.01.1970 (wow, they updated the map before they built my Land Rover).

I also tried my VIN, said invalid VIN.v Go figure?

Good luck, let us know how it turns out.

Got my problem fixed with the online website for incontrol.landrover.com saying I had no connected vehicles. The fix: use Chrome browser, not Safari.

As for https://www.landroverusa.com/ownersh...s-updates.html I still can't enter my vin, it says, Oops, something went wrong. I'll try to contact them.

The customer service agent at LR said she could not find anywhere where it said map updates were free under warranty, but that they might be and I should contact the map update website.

The landrover.navigation.com people said I have to go to the dealer for a map update.
I told them it was available on landrover.here.com Maps and Services.
They said they were HERE.

I went to landrover.here.com and found the place to download a map was under My Account but it said I have no Active Vehicle.
I clicked Add Vehicle, entered my VIN, Confirmed it was the right vehicle. Went back to My Account. It said I have no Active Vehicle.
I guess I'm not smart enough to drive this vehicle. Need to buy a 1960's era vehicle again which I can fix (daily).

HERE is a separate company that uses the map update site as a revenue stream. I don’t think they have any direct connection to any of the car companies they support (most of them, since they are the dominant in vehicle map provider). I worked there for many years as they invented car navigation in the 1980’s and 90’s (long before GPS could be used as an input). Once the free updates expire as part of your Land Rover ownership (4 years to the original owner I think), then you would go to HERE to purchase updates.

I'm guessing the problems and wrong dates and invalid VIN numbers are due to a dealer update that didn’t complete correctly.

Thanks for that info on HERE.
So where do I go to get the free map update download that is supposed to be covered under my warranty?
The landroverusa link takes me to a screen with a place to click on Order Your LandRover Map Update which takes me to landrover.navigation.com which wants me to enter my year and there is no entry available that is newer than 2016.

Click on the Pivi one. I should have mentioned that.
I’m getting the map update message on my screen so I’m going to go through the full update tomorrow so I’ll try and take screenshots and document and repost. I’ve done it before but never documented so I’ll do that this time.
