Thanks much, I'll try the Pivi one, I just figured I wasn't a Pivi guy so never tried it.
Tried it, it really doesn't like my VIN. I am positive I am entering it correctly.

Thanks, been there, tried that.
I can log into my account. It says I have no active vehicles.
I can add my vehicle. Validate that it's a white Discovery.
Then go to my account and it says I have no active vehicles.
I know you are not tech support.
I have clicked through Help and Support, sent them an email, received a reply that said to call them.
I called them and they said it all looks fine at their end.
Back to earlier solution: I'll have to buy a new Land Rover.
Actually, when I take it in for service I'll try to get them to update it. They are very good to me.
But I don't need any service now.

Well, for me and per my previous posts, it worked fine for me, until now. I now see the same error message mentioned by others.

Correction. Groucho123’s link above now works. It didn’t when I posted the previous one but now this one does, perhaps because I now have the Map Downloader?. https://www.landrover.here.com/index.php#home/0

Well Poo...
I have the 2017 with the 3g and I was happy because I could still use the nav through a wifi phone hotspot. The map is from 2019; I'm trying to update but I'm foiled at every turn. Dealer says no more updates for in control pro because all they are supporting is pivi pro and a map for pivo pro won't work on my in control pro. Does anyone have a workaround?

When I created my "here" account when I first bought my 2018, the VIN wouldn't show up in the website until after I logged into the navigation app in the truck. Once I did that the VIN showed up and I could buy a subscription to download map updates. I know that the 2018 has LTE, but it's still Touch Pro and I'm still getting updates regularly. Have you tried logging into the nav with your "here" account while connected to your hotspot or home wifi?

There's actually a map update ready for my 2018 right now. Weird thing is the updater wont launch from Chrome, but it did using another browser. Chrome worked for me the last time.

Thanks for the help. I did as you said and created an in-control account from the vehicle, after which I was able to log in to the here map updater. Sadly, there is no option for me and my 2017 to buy a map update. It's disappointing because I like the system. And it's working fine, is the worst part; I just can't get a new map.

I'm so happy right now! I was able to update my map to the new July 2022 map even though I have a 2017 with the in control pro software!
I saw on a you tube video to go back into the map update website 24 hours after initial set up and there it was, the north America map update available for purchase. I downloaded the update to a USB stick and then transferred to the vehicle without issue. I know it worked because I have some new streets that were not there before. Very cool!

That's great! Glad you were able to get it working. I figured once you were able to log into both the website and the ICTP nav that you'd be good. I didn't know about the 24h thing. Mine had been registered for a few months before I renewed.
