Default Navigation voice Silent

Hope someone can help.
I have a 2018 disco 5
After the big Nav update I don’t have any directional audio from the navigation.

Anyone know where that setting is. I can hear it mute the music a bit softer but no voice comes out.

Thanks

As soon as it mutes and you know it should be talking, crank up the volume ****.

First thing I tried

problem is that we are on a cross country trip from San Francisco to Adirondacks and only found this out after we hit Nevada.

Been using apple maps maps since then.

Is it enabled?

Sorry, wife has the LR at the moment. But, it's like NAV, then (. . .), to get to enable. To adjust volume, isn't it like the next arrow and adjust the volume ****.

I'll try it when she gets home.

OK. So pick a destination and get the Navigation going to that destination. Once you have done that in the navigation screen on the bottom left corner of the map you'll have a round button with 6 squares on it. Press that button. It will take you to a screen with six buttons the bottom right button should say "Turn on sound". Press it. Your Disco should be speaking to you again.

If you want to get rid of the voice directions (I do as it gets annoying sometimes), same procedure, but the button should say "Mute" instead.

Hope this helps, have a safe trip.
