Default New Engines for MY21 Range Rover

These engines are what we should expect for the MY21 Land Rover family that will all but certainly make their way to the Discovery, as well.

Are we getting this new diesel in the states? It would be awesome if we did.

While not officially confirmed, the answer to your question without doubt in my mind, is yes. Probably not all of them in the US, just the D300, though. I believe the contract with Ford that JLR has expires in September and these engines are a long time coming. They will not only make it to the US in the RR and RRS, but also the Discovery and the new Defender. (This was leaked internally on the Defender months ago.)

That makes sense. I sure hope the D300 makes it into the refreshed Discovery. I love the idea that its all aluminum.

My concern came from an article in Autoblog regarding the 2021 Range Rover lineup stating all the engines cary over including the current diesel:

You really think they'll drop one of the V8's into the Disco in NA?

I would imagine this would be reserved for a special edition. Like an SVX or somesuch.

In case no one noticed, the US MY21 FFRR pricing and order guide is out. No mention of the new MHEV diesels, just ye olde TD6.

I guess there is a chance the D5 could get one of the new D3xx's as they haven't announced engine changes yet for the UK either.
