Car is in for some service items currently and have a loaner. My car has Eagles, but the loaner has Pirellis. The difference is night and day. On the way to the dealer we had about 1" of snow on the ground and I was suffering from understeer and sliding at every stop sign. An hour later in the loaner, I was able to drive the way I've always expected to...tons of grip, great handling in turns and great stopping. I truly believe the Eagles are a very poor choice for this vehicle in northern climate (I'm in Chicago). They've been terrible in snow and ice from day one.

Wow! Thanks for the heads up. I guess I will have to change theM out for winter. I don’t spend much time in the mountains, but don’t want to worry about it when I’m there.
I am In Socal most of the time.

Drove home last night on snowpacked roads with my Blizzaks. Never slipped an inch. There were vehicles in the ditch nearby and I'm sure it was slippery, but I couldn't feel it.

I am 90 percent street and dry dirt roads. So not enough to justify full time snow I think, or swapping out for winter. Looking for a year round tire That I can take to the mountains four or five times a year and not worry about it.
