New Purchase - Not So Good Start
Having read up on the diesel I'd give it a pass, even if maintained to LR specs it may not have been maintained enough. DPF problems and oil dilution related to DPF regeneration turned us off the diesel in the new Disco and Disco sport.
But otherwise depreciation has really bit into Disco 5 values. I see LR4 and D5 values are starting to be roughly the same on Cargurus and the like. Not sure what I would pick for an update.

I don't see specifics on that 2017 Disco, but 11 grands for 2-liter with high mileage is not low. Last time I heard, those don't have low range.
I was specifically looking for diesel a year ago and flew to CA to get 1 in pristine condition and with tow package ($3500 MSRP)
Still have internet notifications and seems the prices are actually higher, than I paid for mine.

IIRC all TD6 have the HD pack - low range + rear locker
That is not the case at all. The first D5 I test drive before purchasing one was a Td6 5-seater that was on coils and didn't have low range. 5-seat cars came standard with coils, single speed transfer case and the Torsen center diff with a 42:58 F:R torque split. On the 5-seat cars you could get the Capability Pack, which gave you sir suspension, the two-speed transfer case, Terrain Response 2, the 4WD system with a 50:50 torque split and infinitely-variable locking center diff.
All 7-seat pre-facelift D5s have the Capability Pack as standard (minus the Terrain Response 2). The optional Capability Plus Pack came with the rear active differential, Terrain Response 2, and All-Terrain Progress Control.
Since most pre-facelift D5s have seven seats, most D5s have the proper 4WD system instead of the Torsen.

@CincyRovers is 100% accurate. Check the Monroney Label to verify what your vehicle has equipped, they are only ~$9 if the dealer/seller does not have it on hand. Another thing I would definitely recommend to avoid buyers remorse.
Depreciation is definitely real on these, but can't say that hasn't been the case for any Rover I've ever owned... Drive it til the wheels fall off and you'll never have to worry about it!

I got so used to every D5 having the air suspension that I was momentarily baffled when I test drove one that didn't have it. Within the first mile of a test drive I immediately thought, "this thing rides like crap!". Then I looked down and saw the blank space where the ride height control should be. When I first started shopping for a D5 I was also shocked to find out low range isn't an option with the 2.0 gas engine. While the post facelift models have some nice upgrades their trim packaging is disappointing.
