Default not want the audio/nav to shut down

Hi there,
I wonder, is there a way to keep the car and so
the audio/nav active and not shut down after a certain
period. I want to update the nav while the car is in the
drive whit engine of but the battery charger
connected.
Who has the answer?😜
Regard Teip

Assuming you're updating the maps of the nav, you'll need the engine running. The OE JLR diagnostic tool can force the ignition to stay on while the engine is off, but it requires a battery support unit to be connected to prevent the main battery from being drained.

Yes, you'll need to either put it on a battery tender and keep the accessories on if you don't have the JLR diagnostic tool, or you'll have to keep the engine running.

Hi….
yes I know the engine has to run for a chart update, but thats only for preventing to discharge the battery to much.
So if I put a battery charger on there is no problem except the accessories shutting down after some time.
Maybe is there a way to prevent that via the GAP iid?
