I’m already down this way in Dallas but I’m moving my dads boat here as he’s gotten too old to enjoy it but wants to keep it in the family.

So it’s actually a round trip for me, not the boat, lol

For some reason I thought you were on the east coast. I used to do that same trip many times while my parents were still alive. Just south of Fredericksburg in Lady Smith down to Dallas. Going back I hope this year to stay a week but with a RV in tow.

I grew up in Richmond and went to school at Va. Tech. But have lived in Dallas the past 15 years or so. All of my family is still there though. Not really looking forward to pulling the boat over the Blue Ridge Mountains. I might take the southerly route down to I-20

Just make sure those trailer brakes are functional regardless of mountains or no mountains!
