Proud Rhino VS Johnson rods
So a question,im planning on lifting my D5 with either the Johnson rods 1.5inch or the Proud Rhino 2 inch I want the bigger lift but I assume it affects the driving can I get some info from both parties? Which one is better and JR is also more expensive significally.
Thanks for the info

I have all 3... 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0 and switch depending on what I am doing. Daily driver I just keep it OEM with no rubbing or issues even with my A/T tires. When I go off-road I always switch to the 2.0 and they have been great! Picture below is with the 2.0 at the Biltmore LR Owner's day in October. I have learned how to switch the rods without the need to remove the rear wheels and can do all 4 in less than 5 minutes.

You play golf? The best tool to remove the rods is with a one piece metal divot/pitch repair tool. The spare tire should not be in the way at all.
Back your Disco up onto a curb with both rear tires sitting on the curb itself (or car ramps if you have them). Slide underneath looking up and locate the rod connection (take your watch or anything on your wrist off!) manipulate your arm up through the very tight area with tool in hand and slip between the rod and the mount... twist and it pops off. Then do the other end. Place the other rod on the mounts... this is the easy part. Done.
I suggest practice using the tool on the front rods to get a better understanding of how to slip it in and twist. Do not use a two piece folding divot/pitch repair tool as it is not strong enough to pop the rod off the mounts and will break (ask me how I know!). I will try to take pictures the next time I get under there.
