Default Roof top tent?

Has anyone out a roof top tent on their D5? I pull a boat and want the ability to stay at the coast for a weekend without staying in motels.

Thanks, I've also seen a Tepui installed. I'd like to talk with someone to find out what its like crawling in and out of it at night.

If you are on Facebook, you can search for this group Land Rover Discovery 5 Owners International and ask to join, thats where this image came from. Lots of engagement there and tons of info as well as Land Rover Discovery 5 Owners Group.

Hope this helps!

Thanks. I'm on FB groups for my boat already. I'll look up these groups.

I've got an iKamper Skycamp 2.0 (the 4 person hardshell tent) and love it. It's been great. I'm happy to answer any questions you might have. We have the Rhino Rack crossbars.

One things to consider is how you'll level the discovery when you camp, sometimes the air suspension is enough to get you level, other times you'll want some leveling blocks.

I have a 23zero, queen size equivalent on top. No issues in and out

That's a good looking set up. And it looks like you had fun getting there. I don't expect we will be doing much overlanding at our age. But my wife has concerns about the ladder at night.

You can see I hung some small-led lights so there is some kind of light at night. It’s really not that high, 4-5 steps up and down but you need to plan ahead!

Thanks for the help. It's going to take some convincing before the wife will go this route. I'm all for it, but we are both in our 60s and ladder climbing leads to hop issues.
