Default RSE screen query

Hello everyone, my first post and I hope you can help. I have just picked up a 2019 HSE luxury and have a RSE query. Both rear screens have a thin, flexible plastic shield. Is this a safety feature or can they be removed? Have tried to clean them but the plastic film flexes a fair amount so have stopped. The car has lots of plastic film over all the interior chrome bits/door sills etc that hasn’t been removed by the previous owner and was wondering if this could be something that wasn’t removed either.

Any advice gratefully appreciated.

Yes. It's just to stop them getting scratched. Should be removed on delivery!
I was also puzzled on mine / they are thick enough that they 'could' be part of the car. But they are definitely just a protective film

That said if no one is using them, you could leave them on for protection

Make sure your infotainment software is up to date. They ironed out a lot of early glitches in RSE.
