So I had a service at around 16,000 miles and a little over a week ago it said I needed service again. So I made an appointment and took it in. They came back and said it did not need service and they were going to reset the light. Weird but ok. Well I didn't check before I drove off but it turns out they didn't reset the light. So I brought it back today to have it reset and now they are saying it wont reset. They have to reprogram the instrument cluster to get it to reset. Anyone else have this issue? They just want me to drive around with the car telling me I'm past due for service. It's weird. Any insight would be appreciated.
Thanks!!!
Mine is a 2020 MY by the way....

Mine is a 2020 Range Rover TD6 doing exactly the same thing. Did you ever get this resolved?
I bought the cheapest priced scanner I could fine, to reset it myself. Launch CRP 909
Trust me on this.

Just left the second dealer yesterday they can’t do it and are baffled that it will not respond to their JLR equipment. I mentioned the last time this happened they had to connect to the JLR server and they said they tried that as well.

Unfortunately not in this area. My issue is I just had a service done two days ago at the dealer and they can't even reset it after performing the work so not only is it their responsibility I doubt an independent shop will fair any better. What I'm hoping to find is an answer from the JLR end on what this issue is and how to resolve it. All the normal attempts outlined in numerous forum posts do not work in this case which isn't surprising considering the dealer can't get it to work...

I forgot to ask if they updated and or reloaded your software?

Ok great news... I reset the oil/service required message! I did it with my iCarsoft V3 for Land Rover tool. For anyone searching this topic my Range Rover is a 2020 NAS TD6 that refused to reset its service interval.
Now the comedy is two Land Rover Dealers failed to pull this off and my iCarsoft wouldn't do it either UNTIL I updated it today in a hail Mary attempt to resolve this. The new update enables quite a few service functions that were previously unsupported so if you buy this tool update it immediately prior to the first use. Another tip update it via a Windows PC or in my case Parallels on a Mac. The Mac updating tool doesn't work well and kept telling me that my devices information was a mis match.
I hope this helps someone else experiencing this issue.
I have the JLR DoIP SSD handheld that the dealer uses. Bought it from Diagnostic Associates before I got the GAP tool so I could perform my own maintenances. It has a specific routine for clearing the service interval and a separate one for resetting the diesel service. If the dealer can't do it they're not looking hard enough or they just don't deal with the diesels often enough.
