Default Are there any upgraded rear shocks fit the Discovery?

I’m about to change my rear shocks and was wondering if there are upgraded shocks fit the Discovery?

I’m looking for improved shock absorption and better ride especially on bumpy roads and off road.

i know in perfect scenario the full suspension system is replaced to achieve this. But if could anyone help in directing me on any options to replace the stock rear shocks for 2018 Discovery HSE?

I swapped mine out for a set of Bilstein shocks that were for a 2500 diesel Ram. I think 2" lift.

That was on my 2017, did that two years ago. Don't have the vehicle anymore.

Did you notice any differences between this and the stock shocks?

I’m not very familiar with shocks, but isn’t the OEM shock different in design or is it actually the same underneath the shock boot?
How do you can actually figure if this fits or note? I’ve been searching but i haven’t find a clear answer.

Physically they look very similar. I re-used the Land Rover boot in fact. I was not the pioneer, I had found another thread where someone had done a similar swap.

As far as how it rode, it was a much improved ride. I had used my Discovery to tow a travel trailer all over the US and I think they were a little worn out.
