Default Tires??

I have a couple of original tires with bad road force. (Stock Goodyear Eagles).
I am going to replaced them.
Goodyear is 800 + or - from tire rack. (comfort tread)
Yokohama is 1050 from local shop.

Thoughts??

Should I go a little wider from the 255/55/20's?
I already have Blizzak's that go on in Dec. and off in April.

Well, the 275/55 G051s work well for us [when it's not in the shop] and fit fine. Very nice H rated ATR so they have great road manners. Depends a little on your driving needs?

Thanks for your reply.
Honestly I do mostly highway and rural roads.
I don't off road.
I drive sensibly.
Thought they might look a little more aggresive if they were wider.

I have the stock 255 but in the Pirelli Verde + brand new I would sell cheap if you decide to stay stock? Great tires but we need ATR out here in the sticks where we live plus up at the cabin in CO. I thought I would put them back on later or maybe do a summer/winter thing with them and a 2nd set but it is looking like I may have to lemon law ours if things don't improve? So, I probably will not have a need for them after all. Just PM if interested.

Toyo has a newer Open Country A/T 3 that is available in the OE size for the 20" wheel, and it is an excellent tire.

I love the tread pattern of this tire, I think it looks beefier while retaining OE size and speedometer calibration. Quiet on the highway and at home off-road.

I am guessing the shipping from there to here might mitigate the transaction...
I think for the extra couple hundred I am going with the Yokakama tires...just for the advantage of the local tire store if they get out of round or whatever...
Thanks.

My G015's ride great and are quiet. But they wore quite a bit on their first 5K miles or so. I'm now on the second 5K and haven't checked the tread depth yet.
They are coming off in a few weeks when I put my Blizzaks back on.
Hopefully the rate of wear has decreased. They are wearing evenly, it's not an alignment or pressure issue. I drive pretty gently, too.
On the other hand, they have a 60K mileage warranty (if I recall the correct number) so if they wear out at 30K I'll get a big credit towards my next set (which might not be G015's). Discount Tire has never failed to take care of me when I didn't get the stated mileage out of a set.

I would go away from the stock Goodyear eagle. I find their cold weather winter performance to be terrible (so we now use winter tires which I never needed in the old LR with Pirelli Scorpion)

And they have worn terribly - we have prob done 20k miles on them in total and dealer says they are very scalloped creating road noise and vibration (sounds like a worn bearing). And worn out. And we don't drive hard on them
