Hi Im in Aus and have just taken delivery of my new Disco 5. I bought it to tow a caravan which comes with a DO45 hitch. can anyone tell me how to remove the original towball off of the tongue?

 

Do you have the Deployable Electric Tow Bar?

 

No My towbar is the "standard tongue' which can easily be put into the sleeve on the back of the Disco and locked into place with the lockable pin. There appears to be a locking washer on the assembly. I've tried to take it off with a large ring spanner but cannot budge it. I will be back at the dealer next Thurs to have some side steps fitted and will probably get them to shift it.
