Default 06 Bonatti Grey LR3

Hello everyone. I'm from Southern California and new to LRF.

I just purchased a 2006 LR3 on May 1st. One owner, 108k miles and with a super clean exterior & interior. It's an HSE version with the cold weather package.

The previous owner meticulously cared for the car and had documentation for everything. I mean everything! I was given a 2" stack of papers with it's full history. It seemed as if the car was taken back to the dealership every 1000 miles to have something worked while covered under warranty. He must have been the dealer's worst nightmare. Luckily for me, that was the exact type of person I was looking to buy a Rover from.

The Rover didn't have much upgrades done. The only thing the previous owner had was some adjustable ride height links where he only used when him and his wife went camping. And he traded the original 19" HSE wheels for some 18's, from a newer LR3 version I was told, and installed some new 265/65/18 Cooper Discoverer ATP's.

Here's a photo from May 1st. The day I picked it up.

It started to get hot here in SoCal so I decide to tint the driver and passenger windows to match the rears.

I called upon Best Tint Auto Center in Stanton California to do the work. They're the best tint shop in my area and the owner Jin has been working on all of my cars for years. I wouldn't trust any other shop.

While I was there, I decided to tint the front windshield with a clear UV protecting tint. I figured it was a good idea since LR3's are known for cracking dash boards. So I went with Solar Gard's Ultra Performance Series Ceramic tint.

Those that know me well also know that I can't leave any of my cars alone. So the journey started shortly after.

I couldn't stand the nontinted driver and passenger side windows so the Rover was dropped off at my buddy's shop in Stanton California called Best Tint to work his magic only two days later. I would trust anyone else to tint my cars. Thanks Jin!

I ended up matching the two front windows to the rears with Solar Gard's Supreme 28 and Solar Gard's Ultra Performance 75 which is completely clear for the front windshield. This will protect the dash from cracking near the air bags which LR3's are infamously known for.
