I live in Portland, Oregon and they are fighting to ban the sale of anything but biodiesel which I read is bad for diesel engines. There is also movement to ban diesel vehicles completely. I am considering buying a 1990s Heritage 110 Land Rover Defender. How concerned should I be with these issues? Is biodiesel as bad for engines as some information online suggests? Much appreciation for helping make this decision. How common are rebuilds that switch out diesel engines for regular gas V8s and don't cost over $120k?
