Default 1st Time LR Owner - 2022 Defender

Hey there,

Back in July I picked up a Defender 110 SE for my wife's daily driver after her Honda finally became financially unsustainable to maintain at 245k miles. We needed a vehicle that had a luxurious interior experience but could also tackle the Maine winters - and of course the big one was that the boss had to like it. Found a Tasman blue SE with a P400, cold weather and expedition package for a really good price back in July and we've been loving it ever since. Took it down to NC and back on a roadtrip and it was great. Only had one problem where the windshield was leaking from the top edge in a rain storm - thankfully my local dealer was able to swap that out in a day under warranty.

Not particularly interested in modding the Defender all that much. Backup lights are a must since the OEM backup lights are quite simply unforgivably terrible. Thinking about putting new tires on it next year as well.

The Defender lives next to my daily driver - Clifford who quite honestly takes of all of my time. He's very needy. I also have a beater 2008 FJ Cruiser that I make dump runs in and generally just neglect and abuse, but its Toyota so it doesn't complain. It's name is Boring Bob.

I joined the defender2.net forum but it seems to be mostly UK/EU based and talk about the P400 is very limited.

And not the P400 in Clifford (yes, his 6.5L turbo diesel is actually called a P400)
