Default Waiting in Ireland

Delighted to find the forum. As my Defender has not been built yet it is great chance to learn from the experience of others. My home is in County Cork and on the Isle of Man.

In early December I ordered a Defender 110HSE p400e. At that time delivery was expected late February or early March. As with other Defender PHEVs the delivery has moved out to mid-year. Whilst this is frustrating at one level at least the vehicle will be a MY22 version when it arrives. The one issue that needed a bit of care is that the specs of MY22 vehicles has some changes over MY21 - the main one for me is that the Clearview mirror is no longer standard on the HSE but a paid for extra. My dealer has resubmitted the spec I ordered and has told me that the price increases for MY22 will not be passed on. Also getting the 11.5 inch infotainment screen fitted gratis.

Whilst the current lockdown restrictions limit travelling distances hoping that by the time the Defender arrives it will be possible to do the journeys currently on hold.
