Question 2016 Disco Sport SE: AC recharge question

Do I need an adapter to add new freon to my AC? I already tried to fit OTC can of Freon(AC Guy) to system and I could not get it to fit at all onto the line in my vehicle...

I am running into a similar issue with my 2016 sport
Diesel. Is your low pressure port on the drivers side? Is it the thicker one next to a smaller line? Do your ports have green tops?

Question I'm not real good at navigating here...2016 Disco Sport AC questions

The caps are an off gray or light gray... I foolishly wrestled with the AC refil and the fitting until I broke off the line...Oddly enough I still cannot get an answer to the question: Do I need an adapter or a unique delivery source to recharge my AC

Where are your caps located? I don’t see gray or light gray.

I think your diesel configuration is different enough to throw off any comparisons for us....despite the same make and model year. While our air intake seems to correspond, your AC fill ports are both opposite from where mine are located,, which is other side of engine compartment.. But could someone be kind enough to let us know if we need an adapter for adding freon to our 2016 Land Rover Discovery Sports' AC system?

The car does not use Freon, but uses a new style of refrigerant. R1234yf
