Charging coolant on RR Sport 5.0

Refilling coolant on RR Sport 5.0
After a head gasket change, can’t seem to get air out of coolant circuit.
We’ve done everything in the manual, at least I think so..
all new cooling system parts as well.
Done the vacuum thing…it only pulls in about 2 gallons, and the jug is full.
Any tips would be appreciated
