Default Locking Vehicle with Engine Running

Hello, I know that the Land Rover line of cars does not allow locking the car after exiting while keeping the engine running. There are some awkward workarounds, like exiting the car with the window down, then reaching in to activate Auto Window Up, but then you have to use the physical key to unlock the door. You can also use the App to restart the car once you exit, but that seems time-consuming and times out.

I have not been able to find an easy way to just exit the car while the engine is running and use the KeyFob or Door Handle "Touch" to lock the car. (Note: this is possible on all Jeep Vehicles). I suspect this is a EU type regulation for pollution and/or safety thing...

I have seen some older posts asking about this several years ago.

Has anyone found a workaround for this?
Does anyone know if, by installing a Compustar Alarm or another brand, this can be achieved?

Thank you for reading and commenting...

Hello, the way I do it . . . I start the car and lower the driver side window, exit the car, close the door and reach in to lock the car then activate the one-touch button to close the window. Car is locked with the engine running. The car gets unlocked just by pulling on the door handle; no need for the key.
