Default Disco II new to me :)

I'm a long time Toyota wheeler, currently run an 07 FJ Cruiser but I burnt up the PS pump and blew a front diff seal last week and ran across a seemingly good buy on a 2000 Disco II w/ 130k miles so I figured I would try something different. It has a few issues and I'll probably be needing some parts, maybe someone that reads this will have some good input as to where I could get some secondhand parts? I haven't investigated closely enough to find the source but it seems as though there is an exhaust manifold leak, really makes the thing sound like junk. There is quite a bit of play in the steering, can be scary on country roads with off camber ridges. I would say the wheel sits between 10 and 11 oclock when tracking straight and has no affect until 1-2. Least important but probably most annoying, the previous owner painted what I would guess as every single piece of plastic trim inside and out blue, and then repainted it black. The interior pieces look awful, the paint job is just ridiculous almost looks like finger nail polish or something. The exterior isn't so bad but the grill and mirrors and the trim at the edges of the windshield are beginning to show blue again where bugs and stuff have hit and been cleaned off.. So I'd love any pointers on fixing this thing up, things to check out that are common issues.. I figure I'll just replace all this plastic trim if I can find good used pieces from a part out or something.
