Smile G'day from Downunder

New member here; looking forward to chatting.

I've just bought a 2000 Discovery TD5 auto four door with 353,000km on the clock for AU$2,900. All stock standard
with the exception of LR running boards/sidesteps. I'm the third owner, and I have all its original paperwork.

Only negative points—of course LOL—is that I've spent a lot of dollars fixing and/or replacing numerous bits and pieces
over the last couple of months. Which I've subsequently learned is par for the course for older Discos. Anyway, she's
running nicely now, and cruises very smoothly at 100km/h. The only part I couldn't source, which was missing, is the
security/privacy flap behind the rear seats, but I'm not too worried as I never carry much stuff in the back anyway.

The mechanic told me to run all the tyres at 30PSI, but the handbook says 28 front and 38 rear. She takes larger bumps
and longer undulations on sealed road OK, but corrugations or potholes cause a bit of jarring, (They're 235 x 16) Dunno.

Cheers.
