Hi,
I just bought a 1999 Land Rover Discovery II. I actually was only looking to trade down from my truck to get rid of payments when I found this at a BMW dealer. They had just traded it in from a customer that they knew; this thing is clean! It is a one owner vehicle with some paint peeling on a small spot on the roof but the body and interior are very nice ... leather is almost perfect! I haven't completely checked out all the mechanical structures but I will have a friend check it out. It has 135k miles and was dealer maintained ... the guy even asked the salesman if someone responsible was buying it. Anyway, I really like this thing and am interested in learning more about it. A friend of mine wants me to come off roading with him and his Jeep; I have never done that but as long as I don't break anything it sounds fun.

Your buddy needs to have you go wheeling with him so you can pull him out when he gets stuck.
I bought a '99 Disco 2 a couple months back man. I love it.
Do some searching on the forums on "CDL"linkage and "Front Drive Shaft"
