Default Hello from Atlanta

Hello All,

New to the forum, and not a Land Rover owner...just yet. Always been a fan of the Defender, Discover, and Range Rover models, but don't know much about the inner-workings. Hoping to learn a bit more before purchasing, but the window keeps narrowing...might even get something within the month.

I am currently looking at purchasing a 2004 Discovery II (mostly because of mileage and the model last year), but I am open to other options.

My "biggest" question at the moment is: What is the difference between the 2004 Land Rover Discovery II S, 2004 Land Rover Discovery II SE, the 2004 Land Rover Discovery II SE7, and the 2004 Land Rover Discovery II HSE7??? Total newbie question, but I just want to be clear on what the "S", "SE", "HSE", and "7" mean.

Thanks for any and all info. Much appreciated.

Christian

What do you intend on using your Disco for?

Have you tried posting in the correct area? If you post the DII area, there are a lot more there to answer your questions.

Tom, I will be purchasing a Disco for a daily driver. Most likely no off-roading at all.

I think I teared up a little. That's a shame, off roading is about the only thing it really does well.

IMO, buying any 4WD for strictly on-road use in Atlanta is silly. This is from someone with 35 years experience with Land Rovers.
