Default Hello from beautiful Va Beach!

Hello, just joining the forum after purchasing my first Rover! Hope that I can share, learn, and laugh with everyone here. I've had great experiences on forums before.
I am a car guy through and through, I am an ASE master tech, work at a dealer for a living and tinker at my little shop during my free time.
As for the truck... Well, me and a few buddies do a challenge every year much like that of "grassroots" challenge and this year it is a 4wd challenge that we are doing. The rules are pretty simple $1500.00 budget for the car and all the mods, it has to be 4wd, and it has to pass state inspection. So I picked this Disco II up for $470.00 from a wholesale lot! It has 120,000 miles on it, 2 previous owners, and all in all is in pretty good shape. I will post some pictures of it, the future progress, etc. Look forward to making friends! Cheers
Tucker

Haha awesome. Fortunately, labor doesn't count for the budget. I need to do an oil pan gasket and valve cover gaskets
I would love to do a little lift but I think just tires will have to do. Unless of course I find someone here with a cheap 2" lift or something. I will get some pictures up tomorrow! Thanks for the welcome

Love vacationing in your city. Been there a couple of times in the past few years.

Welcome aboard!
You've got plenty of dough left over for a budget build!
I've replaced plenty of parts for a small percentage of your budget to include clean, used items off ebay!

Looking forward to the build thread!
