I own a Land Rover LR-3 2008 and some times I take it to the Dealer, for Repairs that need Computer reset, or update, like the New air compressor that went bad and the new one has to be computer updated, one time I had a vibration or a tump noice in the suspension and they recommended that the bushings in the control arms suspension where bad and needed to be replaced the cost will be $ 1,300 dollars I went home and look in the web, for Atlantic British and they have a Polyurethane Bushings that cost $ 54.00 dlls. that can be fitted to the Control Arms, I ordered and Installed My self in my garage, I marked the Nuts and the screw in the suspension so It will be close to the original setting, and Drove it to the dealer for Alignment at a cost of $120.00 dlls. Drives good.
I have a rumbling noise while driving, when I turn in a curve to the left is more pronounced, when I turn to the Right doesn't make any noise, Check the wheel Hub for play or wear and nothing that Indicate the Hub wear, the axle boot is ok in the passenger side or left side the axle shaft has a shaft extension with and aluminum pipe fitted to the differential, inside that pipe has a needle bearing and I think is the one that makes noise, the dealer wants $ 179.27 dlls. I went to the web to Land Rover Parts and I pay $112.00 dlls. I don't know if I can post a picture of what I'm doing will be nice so other members see what I'm doing
