Hey guys, Ive recently purchased a 1996 Disco I. I have used the site for a few minor problems and figured I'd say hello. This is my wife's around town vehicle and she named him "Red Rover."

So far I have done some body work to the front and rear bumpers and also disabled the ABS which was trying to kill me. My mechanic/friend has put in a new/used fuel pump, all new brakes all around with some new lines where needed, new shocks, new front tie rod ends, repaired the exhaust, replaced a leaky fuel neck, and some other minor things to make the ride more enjoyable.

Up next week is a new head gasket.

Here he is, oh yeah, we bought it for $800 because he wasn't running - fuel pump.

 

Man, I wish I could make a score like that! Is that paint still as shiney as it looks?

No the paint isn't quite that nice. For some reason the pic makes it appear better than it actually is. I was repainted at some point though. My wife wanted a black one, but when the price is right...
