Default Hello - need help

Hi there. I am new to this so bear with me. I have a 2000 Land Rover Disco II and need a little help. I am attempting to flush the cooling system. I am starting to gather that I will have to suck the fluid out that is in there because I cannot seem to find a way to drain it. Can anyone help?? Yes I am a girl - but capable of working on some things!! Thanks to anyone who might can help.

Welcome to the group. Sounds like you want to get dirty this weekend. How many miles on your truck?
The only wany to reall drain your truck will be to remove the lower radiator hose and let it all drain out.
Make sure you only replace the coolant with Dex Cool, which is an orange colored coolant. You will nee to buy 2 gallons and probably only use about 1 and 1/2 gals, save the rest.
Again, back to my question, how many miles on your truck, there are other thing, depending on the mileage, that you may want to do at the same time.
Mike

Hey there!! My truck has about 74,000 miles on it. Well my hubby decided to proceed with the flush - did it through the lower hose - now have run into where do you put it back in at - he first poured into resevoir - figured out that wasn't going to work. See he hates my car and I LOOOVE it so it's aways a battle when we're working on it.

I know - I did - he didn't have much to say. Mine was actually at the very beginning of the production year - was told it was made before Ford actually took control. I don't care for the newer ones though!
