Default Hello from Pittsburgh Pa

Hi,

My name is Callie from Pittsburgh and I've always been a fan of the older Land Rovers.

Im currently looking to purchase a 2000 P38 with only 35k miles.

I would appreciate any advice for a first time owner.

The car fax shows 1 rear collision with Structural inspection performed after an accident or other incident. Structural damage reported; Damage to right rear pillar
And damage to right rear.

Services records show it was serviced at 6k and 15k but not since.

I've read up on what to inspect when i test drive it bit as i said, any expert advice is appreciated.

a 2000 p-38 with 35k miles is a rare find.

how long ago was the accident? it that the reason the mileage is so low?

Unfortunately, no matter how low the mileage is, its still a 16 year old truck.
So you will most like need to replace all the fluids that have been condensing water,
and will probably have to replace a lot of rubber item like hoses and belts simply because of age.
but you would need to do that only any 16 year old truck, just make sure you keep money aside.

The accident was in 2003 with 9600 miles. Thank you for the info on the maintenance.

Welcome. I concur with the fluid change idea. If you could get the repair paperwork that might tell you more about the damage and how extensive.
