Hello from Portland, OR
Greetings, I just picked up my first ever Discovery the other day. Its a 2000 SE7, "Kinversand" with 130k miles. So far I'm loving it although I haven't been able to drive it much because I'm having the front drive shaft rebuilt. Also in the first week I have had to drop the y-pipe to weld a small leak. Fortunately these were things I knew needed doing when I purchased it.
A big thanks to this forum for helping me know what to look for when buying.

At first I wasn't sure about the color, but it's really growing on me now.
I just finished dropping the y-pipe to weld up a crack at the flange. What a pain, I broke two studs, tried removing them with multiple techniques, and ended up having to drill it out and helicoil. That was a fun full DAY of laying under my truck. Oh well, its running great now, happy to have it on the road.
I also got a freshly rebuilt front drive shaft so I no longer have to be worried that its going to explode driving down the freeway.
Next up is the Grom Audio iPod adapter, the tape deck just isn't cutting it!
