Hello everyone, I've been a proud owner of three different rovers over the years, and the one I've kept is my original purchase; a 2002 Land rover Disco II Westminster edition. I've had to do very little in the way of work on the vehicle since the date of purchase with the exception of regular interval fluid changes. This fall the ol' girl started in with the heavier maintenance items. I've changed the PS pump, Water pump and now it looks as if the HGs have gone. I've purchased new heads but was asked if it is an EGR car. I can not find an EGR valve anywhere on the vehicle, but I wanted to ask everyone here if the 4.0 gas engine 2002 disco has one and where I may find it if they do. I realize the TD vehicles do, but I don't believe mine does.

No EGR on these. The use SAI(secondary air injection) that injects air into exhaust to get cats up to temp at startup.

 

Thank you Joe, I thought not. I know I do not have the secondary air that is found in a lot of 03-04 Discos, but I'm glad I'm not just missing the EGR valve. I appreciate the assistance.
