I'm new to this site but have been and always will be a Rover enthusiast. I have had two classics 90 and 95 LWB and just bought a 99 Callaway in pristine as new condition. I absolutly love the perfomance of this truck but it shure sucks...........gasoline. I remember my old loved classics did to but at least this one will move out of ones way with some real vigor. Just wanted to introduce myself and welcome any comments and suggestions on how to get a little better gas mileage out of our newest toy. I floored it for the first time yesterday and it really surprized me how much quicker it was than my old beloved classics but I litteraly saw the gas guage move. The gas mileage indicator tells me I average 15.5 mpg in town and 17 on the high way at 75 or so mph. Not terrible just not good with todays gas prices where they are. Best to you all.

I am a huge fan of callaways and looking to pick one up myself. if you know If you know of anyone who is looking to part with their stock 1999 Callaway Range Rover with moderate/low mileage, please think of me.
I am also trying to keep a chart of all the 220 Callaways ever made, so everyone will know what number in the series that are still out there. I will be posting the chart to gather information- Last 6 digits of the Vin No., Color, Number in the series. Please email your info if you are one of the lucky 220 drivers so i can build this register.
