SO! Here we finally are...and by we I really mean me. The other would be my wife, but she only cares about the car so far as whether or not she can get it to work.

I bought my 05 lr3 from carmax a couple months ago after several things occurred, most being the fact that my wife wanted an SUV and i had recently watched again the episode of Top Gear where Jeremy Clarkson drove the "disco" to the top of some mountain in Scotland.

We're really happy with it, it does well off road so far as i have figured out how to use the car as it didnt come with a users manual and i've still got about 3 months till the one i ordered arrives from the UK. Please forgive my jumpy nature of writing and run on sentences.

I look forward to having a support group of sorts when it comes to technical questions, how-to guides, and general tips and tricks when it comes to this elegant yet seemingly complicated and very electronic machine.

This is the first off road capable vehicle i have owned...the others ranging from a ford focus to a vw phaeton. I am a rather useless off-road driver and it shows in the limited encounters i have had with my LR3, so one of my goals is to develop better off-road practices.

i think that should give all of you, my new friends, plenty to read and ruminate on. I bid adieu, and will mosey over to some of the technical question threads to educate myself!
