Default Hello from Wisconsin

New to this forum and wanted to say "Hi". I'm contemplating getting an 04 D2 and was looking for some info. I've been a rover owner on and off since I bought my first in 97, a Defender Soft Top. To this day I wish I would have never sold it when I bought a 00 D2. I currently have a 93 RRC that's been giving me starting problems and the Disco would double my chances that one of them is running. LOL I mainly only drive it in the winter or bad weather in the summer. I also have a 10 Corvette GS for the nice weather and the wife has a 13 Mercedes C350 that gets the majority of use.

I want to thank everyone in advance for all the info this site contains. Owning a rover wouldn't be half the fun without you guys sharing your knowledge and experience.

Hi! What info are you looking for?
Where in Wisconsin are you at? We head up to Mountain every year for some snow wheeling. Heading up Feb 8-9 if you want to join us. I have a friend that owns a D1 near Green Bay that also has a Corvette, haha.

I live just outside of Madison. Just looking for general info and things that I should check for before I'd make an offer. I already knew about the HG issue but wanted to know if there are other key things to look for.

It's being sold by a Lexus dealership and supposedly has gone thru their full inspection and is supposed to be up to date on maintenance for whatever that's worth. With only 85K on the clock it I doubt it's had the HGs replaced.

Thanks for the offer. We'll see where things go if it checks out OK.
