Hi from PNW
Hi All,
With a sudden need for another car (due to a kid's unfortunate encounter with a rock) I bought a well kept, high-mileage LR3 a couple weeks ago. We have put it quickly to use exploring the Pacific Northwest - Crater Lake, Oregon Coast, Columbia River Gorge, Mount Hood areas, as well as an occasional commute. So far, it's been a joy.
It has its quirks, and throws a host of codes, but none that yet have me too concerned (mostly stereo/speaker and parking distance related). I have spent quite a lot of time in the last fortnight reviewing the wealth of knowledge here.
I had some good times in a friend's LR in the UK when studying abroad, and actually parasailed over a Scottish field with what I think was a Series III Lightweight as the tow vehicle, but I have never owned a Land Rover until now.
Thanks in advance for the collective wisdom, good counsel, and patience, and I'll do my best to contribute in exchange.
Kee
