Talking hi there, i am a off road addict

so i am realy new to any online forums , also i don't spell check, and know next to nothing about land rovers, so i got that out of the way..

but what i do have is a low cost ,fun , D1 , with a perfect frame , never seen dirt before me, with a few goodies and alot more to come..
why i say low cost , its a $600-1100 dollar price tag (any d1 stock)
i know a few local(san diego) race legends, that have fab shops and get great pricing on some off road gear. also my family own junk yards locally, so i pestered my uncle to get me a few scrap cars ( my land rover eats up parts sadly ) tho junk yard parts from car from 1996 are simi worthless i find that new parts keep me from changing them 3 months later

so i decided to tackle a desert/street d1 with some recovery gear too, went with 12"fox racing pro line with custom valving , custom bent links (for a stabler ride on and off road , i had some 3" big blue springs from a donor d1( but getting some 4" or 5" springs very soon , longer brake lines, all new brakes, calipers,mater,booster..
also did a simi rebuild from 3 blocks and took the best parts ,sent them to get cleaned and resembled by great shop, 9 months later still not one leak

after the lift i was eating flex joints , my drive shafts were bad, so i got to talking with bill from great basin rovers , he talked with Perry McNeil, and i got me some custom heavy duty stuff, also picked up a super winch 10k, i found that land rover bumpers are very heavy and costly , and i found a deal where i got two jeep bumpers for less them $200 bucks, i am happy with the front but i am going to ditch the rear in a bit &put it on my buddy's jeep..

next is a trailer for bringing parts/tools with me and other toys and the rover...

also i am getting re-geared and going with front and rear air locker's, also adding a nice Crower cam, Crower lifters, hi flow oil pump,hi flow water pump , arp bolt set and a good gasket set (no more paper crap) ,
also after i pass smog i am getting 2 over sized hi-flow cats ,and a snorkel with dust cap, and i need to get some new blade's and do my camel cut done with(soon very soon)

if you have ideas comets please link parts your referring to so i can buy them if they fit the over all build. i am looking for deals on parts

still need axles and cv joints ( but i am really thanking about trying to just go with a whole new front end and rear end for a wider and stronger . with something that i can buy off road style rims, ie 16x10 so i can run 35x12.5 r16

also i made a page for any one to post any cool pictures of a land rover putting in work out on the dirt, sand ,mud or rocks..

Welcome.
Nice set up you have there. Get the RAVE manual so you can help trouble shoot any potential future issue. I'm interested in the high flow oil pump and high flow water pump. Links for them?
Welcome again!

Talking water pump /oil pump

well i am emailing many local shops telling them i have a Buick 215 land rover d1, have yet tho to get any reply's but its 5am on the wet coast and sadly i wont get to look around till after work is done today..

second route is order from England, they have many after market parts, just the export tax and shipping is more then your parts..

i might just opt for a electronic water pump and bigger radiator tho(a few dollars to protect a bigger investment of a heap of parts), its gets hot in the desert and i like my fresh motor too much to let it warp from mashing with the ac on in the desert.. tho i have a brand new oem water pump... with 5 months and 1200 miles on it..

but if you find any power adders , or great parts for a d1 post them for all to see..
