Yeah so today i grabbed this 2000 Lamd Rover seroes 2 Discover SE.

Missing the cats but i don't need them where I'm at thankfully at this vehicle age.

So the bad. I had only a short time to check out the rig and did basic stuff. Trans check and look at the oil etc no leaks.

But because it had no cats and no tags I could drive it far and long story shott by the time i got it home it had pegged hot and completely overheated. Thank fully it wasn't hurt amazingly. How many times can you just light up these 4.6 like that and they still live?

I guess ill filler up with water tomorrow and check the normal spots like the water pump and the radiator for leaks. I noticed a couple of gallons of coolant in the back after getting at home. Any clues or directions on known issues would be great. I want to get ready for the Forest gathering with the North State crew.

that's how all of this occurred by the way I ran into these guys up at the State Forest in North Carolina and I blame them for anything that occurs after this point. I've been wanting a river ever since I gathered with them at the big annual jamboree at Uhwarrie last wjnter. Great grouo!

Anyways this should be fun and a Good Sign.

A good sign

Welcome here. Nice looking rig! I hope you didn’t do permanent damage by overheating. It’s maybe the worst thing you can do to one of these.
For all of your technical questions, post them in the Disco 2 section of this forum.
