First, thank you all for your priceless insights that I’ve poured over as I dreamed of someday owning a Disco myself. The adventurous highs described here far outweighed the technical lows in my unofficial survey.
Well the day finally came last week when my husband and I decided to buy an (inspected) 2000 Discovery 2 only to have our blissful maiden (post test drive) voyage of 10 miles on the freeway end in a cloud of white smoke and spilled coolant when we parked in our driveway.
I know this isn’t the place for posting technical questions so I’ll save that for another post on the appropriate board, but I wanted to introduce myself here as it seems our initiation to LR ownership is now official.

 

Oh shoot, that’s too bad! Hopefully it’s not too expensive of a repair.
