Default Introducing Stella.

Meet Stella.
An 88 Classic. I purchased her in San Diego 2 weeks ago as a non runner, parked since 2012. A fuel tank cleaning, fuels sytem purge and a new fuel pump and she was running. The old girl needs a lot of work and with time she will regain all of her former glory. The leather interior and dash is in what I coonsider to be in good honest condition. Cleaning, conditioning and a good re dye and she will be great shape. Shocks need to be replaced, more than likely with Billstein HDs. Transmission is shifting a bit oddly, so a replacement has been picked up from Motorcars Unlimited from Houston, Tx on my way back home from Jacksonn, Mississippi. Thx Peter!! That will be replaced soon. Currently she is in body and paint and expected to be complete next week. Just a temp job until she is driven, sorted and enjoyed a bit.

Expect to see the rig on the road traveling regularlly from San Diego to the East Coast on business, with some regular and intentional detours to enjoy some trail driving.

For now here are some photos. Enjoy!

I love these type finds. Keep the photos coming. What about replacing the lettering, or leaving them off?

Thanks! For the time being, decals will be left off. Tho goal now is to build her to where she willl be fully functional and rugged. Spending $$ on steel to fabricate bumpers, roof rack and rear bumper mounted spare tire rack as well as fuel can holder.

Thanks! From going through the forum, it will be best to start a thread on the build section of this forum. For the time being, here are some photos of Stella post body pain. All pillars will be painted in satin black and have the rear pillar recovered. The thing i look forward to the most is removing the NASTY tint film from all windows.
