Default Jeep to Rover and lovin it

Well I took the bite today it get to pickup my "new to me" 2003 Disco SE II. Has 69k miles. I purchased it from a guy who had all paperwork from day one and also had the engine oil pump fail which I hears happens. He showed me about 4k in receipts for the engine rebuild. Hope I dont have problems he said the put 4.6 internals in a 4.0 block after the engine went.

I live in Pensacola, FL and if anyones looking to hang let me know. Im a big gear head and hope my knowledge can contribute to this thread as I continue to learn the Rover.

What Jeep did you get out of? I am thinking of doing the same thing. I am wondering if I should do it.

Welcome to the frustration and joy of owning a Discovery. Download a copy of the rave and have it handy. Make sure that you do the 60k service and follow all the recomendations on it and it will serve you well. There is a alot of infomation on here for people who want to fix there own vehicle. Make use of the search as its probaby already been covered and think about investing in an Ultra Gauge EM. Some folks dont rate the 2003 but I love mine and have many miles on the clock and plan on many more
