Default Just bought a 2K D2

Howdy. I just bought a 2000 D2 that obviously needs some TLC. So far I have replaced the drivers side mirror, the left headlight, and refinished the fender flares. I just bought it on Saturday.

Next weekend's project is to mod my ignition switch because it its driving me freaking nuts. I am already at the point of just leaving the key in the ignition out of fear of either breaking the key or rupturing a blood vessel in my neck from pure frustration.

The drivers window does not roll down and makes no motor noise. It may be a switch but I plan on dealing with that a bit later.

It has 200K miles otherwise I don't know much about the history of the truck. I paid $2,000 and it has new tires. It runs great so far for the mileage.

One more thing.... It has no sunroofs. I had a friend tell me that all disco's had at least 1 sunroof. is this true?

Welcome to the madness. Congrats on the new purchase.

I can help you with the last item. Discovery's came w/o sunroofs, or with two.

Lesson: Do not listen to your friend, he know not what he sayeth. Also do not let friends drive it, borrow it , or advise you on it if they do not have one.

Download the RAVE and get familar with it, Welcome to the World of Discovery whether it is a 1 or a 2.

Rovers are finicky beasts. Listen to the advice given here. DON'T let others drive your baby.
