Default Lucky me - free 2001 Disco!

Wow. I know a 2001 Disco isn't worth a whole ton of money but I got one for free!. My boss had this parked out front at work for over a year. He travels a lot and came back to it dead about a year ago. He wasn't motivated to do anything about it.

Rainy season is upon us here in Cali and my daily motorcycle commute didn't seem so fun with all the knuckle head drivers so I thought it was time to pick up a car.

I asked if he wanted to sell it to me and he said....you want that?....you can have it.

So I am the proud owner of the 2001 Disco II. Immediate needs were a battery and a crank shaft sensor. My 15yr old daughter and her little hands did the sensor job herself. I was flashlight man. That was awesome. Bald tires - replaced

On order...new prop shaft, throttle body heater, etc, etc.

This will be a fun project. Thanks for all the info here.

Think about an Ultra Gauge and a 180F thermostat..... and the 60K miles service list.

Looking at the ultra already. Can I clear codes with the ultra?

Already working through the 60k list. I have a thermostat ordered from AB. How do I know which is the 180 degree?

Thanks
Dave

Yes it will read, display, and clear codes. 180F one is the gray one.
